Gainesville Regional Airport is essential to the dynamic community of Gainesville and the surrounding area. Only three miles northeast of the city, Gainesville Airport provides accessible service to many. Everyone has different travel needs, from work to pleasure or anything in between, and soon Gainesville Airport will be able to accommodate more guests and run even more efficiently. We are thrilled to be a part of this expansion project!
Reaching New Heights
This project is progressing fast, and is now going vertical. Not only has a large milestone already been achieved with the early concrete slab construction, but the next phase is also taking off ahead of schedule: building dry-in. This exciting turning point gets us one step closer to the finished project. When completed, the elevated floor height will add to the beauty of the terminal’s breathtaking view, framed by a large storefront curtain wall.
Flying Through Renovations
Scherer self-performed all the site work and is currently running the concrete work process on this project. But the work doesn’t stop there; we are dedicated to improving the interior with new renovations and refinements that are well underway. All of these aspects are working, guided by our partnership with AECOM and their devoted involvement, to increase the functionality and enhance the beauty of Gainesville Regional Airport.
