About the Project
This project consisted of a 150,750 square foot pre-engineered building expansion to the existing operating manufacturing facility. Scherer was selected to perform the project after our team developed and presented to the owner a fast-track project schedule combined with an in depth phasing and logistics plan. The project was completed in two phases which allowed the plant to continue its operations in and around the construction site. The main challenge was keeping over 80 semi trucks operating daily without interruption.
Due to the success of the first addition, Scherer was hired to complete another addition of 71,000 square feet. This addition included dock levelers and CMU stem walls abutting the existing building. Site work consisted of the installation of a new lift station that tied into an existing sanitary line.
