Diversity Is a Key Component

diversity-textblueWhen you are driving through town and see a Scherer Construction sign, what project springs to your mind? Do you immediately see a Walgreens? Do you automatically associate it with The Salvation Army? Or do you, as we would hope, think more along the lines of “What HAVEN’T they done?” The answer to that question is: we have done it all!

Scherer Construction started, inauspiciously, out of the bed of a truck and two car garage in 1984. Since then we have grown to have offices in St. Petersburg, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Gainesville, all of which provide services to the entire southeastern United States. These services include Construction Management, Negotiated and Hard Bid General Contracting, and, with two architects on staff, Design/Build. Scherer Construction also, in an effort to diversify and offer our customers the best possible quality, is a certified roofing and certified underground utilities contractor.

Scherer’s past project history is as wide-spread as our service area.   We have successfully, and repeatedly, completed automotive dealerships, aviation hangars, drug stores, educational facilities, financial institutions, industrial manufacturing plants, medical offices, pre-engineered metal buildings, churches, restaurants, solar installations, and extensive site work projects. Our list of current projects certainly runs the gamut, as well: Swamp Head Brewery, 121 Financial, Santa Fe College Entrance Sign, Dairy Queen, Terra Costa Amenity Center, Anthem Church, Walgreens, and Gators Dockside Springhill just to name a few. The knowledge and special skill set we gain with each new type of project is combined with our 30 years’ worth experience and adds up to us being the right fit for any type of project.

The next time you see one of our signs, it will most likely be in front of a completely different type of project than the last one you saw. What you can be sure of, though, is that whether it is a drug store or a gas station, a school or a restaurant- it is another top-notch project from Scherer Construction.
